Dunno.. I still use and enjoy my aeropress quite a bit (anything black apart from espresso) despite having a fully gaggiuino modified Gaggia classic - which is quite a fun and/or frustrating project if you are looking for one.

I'm an espresso nerd
although I do like the theatre of a syphon occasionally.
(I do pour gallons of v60 down my neck but tbf that is just to keep the levels up and I am not diligent about it...
I have .01g scales and very expensive grinders and all sorts for espresso, but v60 I just chuck a handfull into a cheap grinder and pour water over)

Well it works for meOriginally posted by Dactylion View PostI love the work and am well impressed with the mad skillz.......
I must however take issue with the Aeropress.... It has got to be the worst coffee making tulip in the world!
Lots of coffee-geeks Rave (sic) about it..
I have never had a decent coffee from one!
Bloody fiddly, cheap plastic, dirty, messy way to make a 1/2 cup of coffee - badly!
What is wrong with a simple V60? If a standard plastic V60 wouldn't fit - you could get one of those collapsible springy ones.
